Battle of Kings Mountain

The Battle of Kings Mountain happened on October 7th, 1780. It took place in South Carolina.The battle was against the America Army and the British Army. The casualties for the British was: 157 killed, 163 wounded, and 698 captured. While America suffered just 28 killed and 68 wounded. The commanders and leaders for both sides were: Fredrick Hambright and Patrick Ferguson. The result was Decisive Patriot Victory. We should remember it because It was a victory for the Patriot cause. The forces loyal to the King were mostly American, fighting American forces looking for Independence. It happened with the American Army and British Army fighting. The winner was the American Army.
